Jordan overcomes Algeria in victory.
The Algerian national team turned their deficit against the Jordanian counterpart into a hard-fought victory with a score of 2-1, today Tuesday, Coordinated Universal Time, at the "Santa Clara" stadium in San Francisco, USA, during the second round of the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.
The Jordanian team was the first to score, through Nizar Al-Rashdan in the 36th minute, ending the first half with a lead of one goal to none.
In the second half, the Algerian team managed to return to the game thanks to the poor marking by the Jordanian defense on substitute Nadir Bouali, who equalized in the 69th minute following a corner kick.
Due to the Jordanian defense's poor handling of another cross, Amin Guiri sealed the result in favor of Algeria by scoring the winning goal in the 82nd minute, causing Jordan to miss out on a victory over the "Greens."
