Amouta will remain in charge of Al Ahly's accounts.
The situation of Moroccan international Ashraf Dari within the Egyptian Al Ahly club has seen new developments, as the likelihood of his permanent departure during the current summer transfer window has diminished, given the difficulties the club's management faces in marketing the player and finding a new destination for him.
The Egyptian website "Al-Watan Sport" reported that Al Ahly's management had previously decided to part ways with Dari due to the recurring injuries that have plagued him in recent times, in addition to their desire to free up a spot in the foreign players' list in preparation for signing new elements.
The same source clarified that the process of transferring the Moroccan defender to another club seems complicated, considering his high salary, as well as the lack of interest from a club like Kalmar in Sweden, where he played on loan, in purchasing his contract permanently.
On the other hand, Moroccan coach Hussein Ammouta, the new head coach of Al Ahly, expressed his desire to give Dari a new opportunity with the team, should he be unable to market him during the summer transfer window, while assessing his physical and medical readiness after the period he spent in the Swedish league without suffering from significant injuries.
Al Ahly continues its efforts to strengthen the defense line in preparation for the upcoming season, after the team faced defensive issues during the past season, which prompted the management to seek new solutions to enhance the backline and compete strongly on various local and continental fronts.
