Al-Saybari scores the fastest goal in the World Cup.
The Moroccan national team entered their match against Scotland in the best possible way, as Ismail Sabari succeeded in opening the scoring early, marking the fastest goal in the 2026 World Cup so far.
The "Atlas Lions" imposed their style from the very first whistle, as they controlled the ball just 14 seconds into the match, before translating their advantage into a goal after 71 seconds of play, thanks to a brilliant technical touch from Sabari that sent the ball into the Scottish net, taking advantage of a wonderful pass from Ibrahim Diaz.
This goal is the fastest in the current edition of the World Cup, confirming the strong start of the national players in a direct confrontation for the top spot in Group C.
Sabari broke the record of his compatriot Hakim Ziyech, who held the record for the fastest Arab goal in the World Cup, after scoring against Canada in the 2022 World Cup, where Ziyech opened the scoring in the fourth minute, capitalizing on a mistake by the Canadian goalkeeper, before the newcomer to Bayern Munich broke that record today.
Sabari thus continued to shine in the Moroccan national team jersey, having also scored in the opening match against Brazil.
