The Moroccan national team has made significant progress towards qualifying for the second round of the 2026 World Cup, following their victory over the Scottish team with a score of one goal to nil, on Friday evening, American time, at the Gillette Stadium in Boston, as part of the second round of the group stage in the tournament.

The first half saw a clear dominance by the "Atlas Lions," while the Scottish team relied on counter-attacks and defensive clustering.

The pressure from the national team paid off early, as Ibrahim Diaz, in the second minute, provided a magical pass to Ismail Sabari, who converted it into a beautiful goal, giving the "Lions" the lead against Scotland.

After Sabari's goal, the national team had several clear opportunities to score, but haste and a lack of focus prevented them from extending the lead, ending the first half with a Moroccan advantage of one goal to nil.

In the second half, the Scottish team began to venture out of their areas in search of an equalizer, while the Moroccan team continued their approach based on possession and control of the game.

Despite the attempts made by both the Moroccan and Scottish teams during the second half, the net did not shake, and the match ended with a victory for the "Atlas Lions" by one goal to none.

With this victory, the Moroccan national team raised their points tally to four, standing alone at the top of Group Three, while the Scottish team occupies second place with three points.
