Al-Fath defeats Wydad at "Dounor" and reshuffles the ranking calculations in the professional league.
The Fath Sportive achieved an important victory against its host, Wydad Athletic Club, with a score of two goals to one, in the match that took place today, Thursday, at the Mohammed V Complex in Casablanca, as part of the 25th round of the professional league.
The Rabat team succeeded in opening the scoring during stoppage time of the first half, through Hadeefa Al-Muhsini, who scored the lead in the second minute of added time (45+2), after a precise shot from inside the penalty area.
With the start of the second half, Wydad Athletic Club managed to equalize through Ramiro Faka in the 50th minute, following a remarkable execution of a direct free kick that found its way into the Fath's net.
The guests did not take long to respond, as Fath Sportive regained the lead in the 61st minute when Wydad defender Salah Musadak accidentally turned the ball into his own net, following a powerful shot from one of the Rabat team's players from outside the penalty area.
Wydad attempted to come back in the remaining minutes, but the Fath's defensive organization prevented that, ending the match with a valuable victory for the Rabat team with a score of (2-1).
Following this victory, Wydad Athletic Club's points remained at 43 in fifth place, while Fath Sportive strengthened its position in sixth place with 33 points.
