Salah returns to Italian Rome.
Moroccan international Anas Salah Eddine will not continue his journey with PSV Eindhoven, as the purchase option that allowed the Dutch club to sign him permanently from Roma has expired.
According to information from Italy, Eindhoven wanted to activate the purchase clause for the Moroccan full-back's contract, but negotiations between the Dutch club's management and the player's agents did not reach a final agreement on the financial terms, leading to the expiration of the purchase option set at 8 million euros.
Salah Eddine is expected to return to the Italian capital, where he will join Roma's training after finishing his participation with the Moroccan national team in the 2026 World Cup, after which his future with the club's management will be determined.
The Moroccan player had a loan experience with Eindhoven last season, where he delivered performances that made the Dutch club consider retaining his services, but the stalled negotiations opened the door to new possibilities, whether to reopen discussions with Eindhoven or to explore other offers during the upcoming transfer window.
This development comes at a time when Salah Eddine is included in the Moroccan national team list participating in the World Cup, after coming on as a substitute in the match that ended in a draw (1-1) against the Brazilian team led by coach Carlo Ancelotti.
