African boxing relies on Nabil Helmy.
Moroccan official Nabil Helmi has been appointed as the Secretary General of the first region of the African Boxing Confederation, which is affiliated with the World Boxing Association, and he will oversee the competitions of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics with the endorsement of the International Olympic Committee.
The first region includes several North African countries, including the Kingdom of Morocco, Egypt, Mauritania, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, Somalia, and Algeria.
Helmi's selection came after consultations within the executive office of the confederation, as an acknowledgment of his competence and significant contributions to sports management at both the national and international levels.
