Morocco shines in beach volleyball.
The Moroccan teams, both male and female, managed to qualify for the finals of the African Beach Volleyball Championship after winning the title of the qualifying tournament for the first region, which concluded its competitions yesterday, Sunday, in the city of Kelibia, Tunisia.
The qualifiers included the teams from Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, and Libya in the men's category, and Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco in the women's category.
In the men's category, the Moroccan duo Azhar/ Gharouti won the final match against the Tunisian duo (Maddab/ Majid) with two sets to none (21 – 19) and (21 – 19).
The Moroccan duo reached the final after defeating another Tunisian duo (Ben Massoud / Ben Arab) in the semifinals with two sets to none (21 – 18) and (21 – 13).
In the women's category, the duo (Mahi / Yaqi) managed to defeat the Algerian duo (Bayo/ Bachar) in the final match with two sets to none (21 – 9) and (21 – 11).
The Moroccan duo reached the final after winning in the semifinals against another Algerian duo (Bosta / Amalu) with two sets to none (21 – 07) and (21 – 12).
