Tai Chi Kho, a golfer from Hong Kong, won the title of the fourth edition of the "Morocco International Series" yesterday, Sunday, which was held at the Royal Golf Dar Es Salaam in Rabat from June 11 to 14.
Tai Chi Kho claimed the title after finishing the competition at the top of the overall ranking with a total of 273 strokes, with scores of (68, 69, 68, 68), which is 19 strokes under par, ahead of American Bubba Watson, who came in second with a total of 274 strokes, with scores of (69, 66, 69, 70), which is 18 strokes under par.
The third place went to Thai golfer Suthiphat Pratipatchai, with a total of 277 strokes, with scores of (69, 69, 70, 69), which is 15 strokes under par.
After the award ceremony, Tai Chi Kho expressed his happiness in a statement to the press about winning the title of the fourth edition of the "Morocco International Series," adding that this achievement gives him motivation for upcoming challenges.
The golfer confirmed that the Royal Golf Dar Es Salaam is his favorite course, explaining that after three consecutive participations in this tournament, he succeeded in clinching the title against strong competitors, including American Bubba Watson, a two-time major winner.
For his part, Rahul Singh, the director of the international series on the Asian Tour, highlighted the importance of effective coordination and partnership with the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation.
He added that Asian Tour players always look forward to returning to Morocco to compete on the Royal Golf Dar Es Salaam courses, which provide an ideal space for practicing this sport.
He emphasized that the Asian Tour will return to Morocco, which has become a prominent destination for golfers and a hub for the development of this sport in North Africa and the Arab world.
He confirmed the Asian Tour's commitment to providing opportunities for local players to gain experience and interact with professional golfers with experience, noting in this regard the organization of the "Morocco Rising Stars" tournament in El Jadida, which allowed amateur players to develop their skills and refine their level.
It is worth mentioning that Zimbabwean Scott Vincent had won the title of the previous edition of this prestigious golf tournament.
