Germany crushes Curacao with seven goals at the start of the 2026 World Cup journey.
The German national team repeated its famous historic victory over Brazil with a score of 7-1, this Sunday evening, after sweeping the CuraƧao team, participating for the first time in the FIFA World Cup finals, with the same score, in the first round of the group stage of the 2026 tournament held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
The German team showed no mercy towards its weak opponent, achieving a wide victory, while the CuraƧao team settled for entering World Cup history by scoring its first goals in its debut.
Felix Nmecha opened the scoring for Germany in the sixth minute, before Levano Comenensa equalized for CuraƧao in the 26th minute.
Nico Schlotterbeck restored the lead for the Mannschaft in the 38th minute, then Kai Havertz added the third goal from a penalty in the fifth minute of stoppage time in the first half.
In the second half, Jamal Musiala increased the tally with a fourth goal in the 47th minute, before Nathaniel Brown added the fifth goal in the 68th minute, then Deniz Ćndav scored the sixth goal in the 78th minute, and Joshua Kimmich capped off the goal fest with the seventh goal ten minutes later.
With this victory, the German team has one foot in the second round, while in the second match of the group, the Ivory Coast and Ecuador teams will meet in the early hours of tomorrow, Monday.
