Hind Zamama is rewriting history.

The Moroccan global climber Hind Zamama has achieved a new historic sports accomplishment by successfully reaching the summit of Denali in Alaska, the highest peak in North America, standing at 6,190 meters above sea level. This marks a new historic achievement that places her among the top climbers in the world, as the first Moroccan and African woman to accomplish this exceptional challenge.

With this achievement, the world champion successfully climbs the sixth global peak in her sports career, a peak known for its difficulty and the dangers of its routes, under harsh climatic conditions characterized by extremely low temperatures, heavy snowfall, and challenging terrain; making reaching it on the first attempt an exceptional challenge.

This success comes just a few months after the historic achievement that the Moroccan climber accomplished in 2025, when she managed to reach the summit of Mount Everest, the highest point on Earth at 8,848 meters; thus solidifying her presence among the most prominent climbers who continue to take on the challenge of global peaks.

Hind Zamama confirmed that the journey to climb Denali was one of the toughest stages in her sports career, which began in 2023, considering the natural and climatic challenges she faced during the climbing days, noting that determination and perseverance were the decisive factors in overcoming various difficulties and achieving this goal.

Hind Zamama highlighted the magnitude of the challenges she faced during her adventure to climb Denali, affirming that this peak is considered by many specialists to be among the most difficult and dangerous mountain peaks in the world, even though Everest remains the highest in terms of elevation.

The Moroccan climber explained that Denali's proximity to the Arctic Circle forces climbers to face extremely harsh weather conditions, where temperatures can drop to minus 50 degrees Celsius, while wind speeds can sometimes reach 150 kilometers per hour; which requires climbers to stay inside tents for long days waiting for weather conditions to improve.

She added that among the most notable difficulties that characterize Denali is the significant vertical difference between the starting point and the summit, as climbing begins from an elevation of about 2,200 meters up to 6,190 meters; which requires tremendous physical effort and continuous energy expenditure. Additionally, this adventure relies entirely on the climber's self-capabilities, as there are no assistants or support teams accompanying them on the way; which forces them to carry all their equipment and supplies on their backs while crossing dangerous snowy paths and deep crevasses.
