Feyenoord signs Moroccan talent Haddi.
Feyenoord, the Dutch club, announced its signing of the young Moroccan talent Elyan Hadidi, coming from Belgian club Standard Liège, with a contract that extends for three seasons, in a move that reflects the club's commitment to strengthening its squad with the most promising rising talents.
Hadidi, who is 17 years old, stated in comments published on the club's official website: "After ten years I spent at the Standard Liège training center, my move to Feyenoord represents a new and important stage in my football career."
He added: "I am impressed by the facilities and infrastructure here, and I look forward to showcasing my abilities to everyone and proving what I can offer."
The midfielder began his football journey at the Belgian club Seringen before joining the Standard Liège academy in 2016, where he received his entire football training within the club.
Hadidi was considered one of the most prominent talents within the training center of the Belgian club, and he also wears the jersey of the Moroccan national team for under 17s, having recently participated in the African Cup of Nations for that age group.
The website "FR12" noted that Feyenoord successfully completed an important deal by signing the young Moroccan player, despite strong competition from several prominent European clubs that were closely monitoring his situation, including Ajax Amsterdam, PSV Eindhoven, Borussia Dortmund, Lille, Monaco, Club Brugge, and Manchester City.
Elyan Hadidi's transfer to Feyenoord is seen as an important step in the player's career, as he seeks to continue his development at one of the top Dutch clubs in preparation for breaking into the world of professional football at the highest levels.
