Infantino: The ban on the Somali referee is unfortunate.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino described the case of Somali referee Omar Artan, who was banned from entering the United States, as "unfortunate."
Infantino said during a press conference on the eve of the 2026 World Cup: "It is unfortunate what happened to Omar, the referee coming from Somalia, but ultimately we do not control everything."
