Significant absences increase "Raja's troubles."
The Raja Club Athletic team will enter their upcoming match against their guest, Ittihad Tawraka, missing several of their key players. The match will take place next Sunday at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca, as part of the 24th round of the professional league competition.
The technical staff of the "Green" team will be required to find alternative solutions in the defensive line, given the absence of both captain Badr Benoun and Abdullah Khafifi due to suspension. The former received a red card during the last match against Kawkab Marrakech, while the former Umm Salal defender accumulated four yellow cards.
Raja's absences will not be limited to the defense only, as goalkeeper Mehdi Lahrar and Jordanian striker Mohamed Abu Zreik, nicknamed "Sharaara," continue to be absent from the team due to their international commitments with the national teams of Morocco and Jordan.
The recent loss for the "Eagles" against Kawkab Marrakech has left Raja's points tally stagnant at 42 points in fifth place, while the Marrakech team has risen to eighth place with 30 points, increasing the pressure on the components of the green club before the upcoming challenges.
Raja hopes to return to the winning track and take advantage of the home ground and crowd during the match against Ittihad Tawraka, in order to regain confidence and reduce the gap with the clubs competing for the top positions in the "Botola Pro" standings.
