The Moroccan star Ayoub Lghirati leads a significant local and regional presence in the International Series golf competition "International Series Morocco," which is taking place on the Royal Golf Course of Dar Es Salaam in Rabat, scheduled to be held from June 11 to 14.
This prominent sporting event, with a financial value of two million dollars, serves as a high-level test for emerging talents against some of the brightest global names, including Bubba Watson and Sergio Garcia, alongside the "LIV Golf" stars Abraham Ancer and Branden Grace.
Lghirati enters this edition at one of the best periods of his professional career, having achieved a tied thirteenth place in the Al Jadida tournament last week and within the Asian Development Tour.
The Moroccan star expressed his pride in participating in this special tournament, confirming that playing in Dar Es Salaam provides him with an additional motivation to engage with high competitive levels, opening real opportunities for development for Moroccan golfers thanks to the efforts of the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation.
Alongside Lghirati, the tournament features six Moroccan players looking to make their mark in this international event, including Mehdi Fekouri and Ayoub Id Omar, who have previous experience in the international series, as well as the amateur duo Hugo Troumiter and Youssef El Hali, and Nizar Bourehim and Abdel Rahman Fekouri, who are making their debut in the competition after their strong recent performances.
Regionally, there is a strong presence of players from the Middle East and North Africa, with Saudi Arabia represented by Faisal Saleh, Othman Al Mulla, Khaled Atiyah, Shergo Al Kurdi, and Saud Al Sharif, while the United Arab Emirates is represented by Ahmed Skik, alongside the promising Qatari Daniel Sokolov, who is fifteen years old and previously shone in the last Qatar edition.
This major event comes to conclude a rich journey spanning three weeks, which began with the Asian Development Tour, then passed through the Asian Tour stop at the Mazagan Resort in Al Jadida last week, before arriving in the capital Rabat to provide local and regional talents with an ideal opportunity to compete alongside the elite professionals of the world.
