The Marrakech team secures a victory against Raja in the second half.
The Marrakech Kawkab football team defeated its guest, Raja Casablanca, with two goals to none in the match of round 23 of the professional league, which took place this evening, Tuesday, in Marrakech.
Returning to the events of the match, the first half was characterized by caution from both teams, with a clear scarcity of scoring opportunities, which reflected on the pace of the encounter that remained balanced for most of its duration, with some timid attempts from both sides.
As the minutes passed, Kawkab Marrakech managed to impose a relative advantage in terms of possession and building attacks, but the lack of offensive efficiency and haste in the final touch prevented this superiority from being translated into goals, ending the first half in a goalless draw.
During the second half, the Marrakech team maintained its relative advantage, while Raja Casablanca made sporadic attempts, but most of the offensive efforts lacked precision and effectiveness in front of the goal, keeping the score unchanged.
In the 73rd minute, referee Amin Al-Ma'tawi awarded a penalty kick in favor of Kawkab Marrakech, showing a red card to Raja Casablanca's captain, Badr Bannon, amid protests from the "green" team, before Hamza Al-Janati successfully converted it into a goal, giving his team a valuable lead.
Kawkab Marrakech added a second goal in stoppage time, scored by player Saleh Al-Salami, and the referee blew the final whistle, announcing Kawkab's victory with a clean two-goal win.
With this victory, Kawkab Marrakech strengthened its tally to reach 30 points in eighth place, while Raja Casablanca's score remained at 42 points in fifth place.
