Ghimarais: We respect the Moroccan national team.
Brazilian national team player Bruno Guimarães said yesterday, Monday, in New Jersey, USA, that "Morocco is a good team that we respect greatly."
Guimarães, a midfielder for Newcastle United, explained in response to a question from the Moroccan News Agency during a meeting with Brazilian and international media that the current generation of Moroccan players "is one of the best generations in the history of Moroccan football."
Regarding the match between the Brazilian and Moroccan teams in the first round of Group C for the 2026 World Cup, Guimarães predicted that the encounter would be "difficult for the Brazilian team," expressing hope that "the Seleção" would be able to "show their best football and secure a victory."
The two teams will face each other in the first match on June 13, at the New York-New Jersey stadium, after which the "Atlas Lions" will meet the Scotland team in the second round, before concluding the group stage with a match against Haiti.
