Support associations for the Moroccan national team face a visa crisis ahead of the "World Cup."
Some associations dedicated to supporting the Moroccan national team are facing significant difficulties in obtaining entry visas to the United States to support the "Atlas Lions" during the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.
Several members of one of the associations supporting the national team stated in a statement to "Hesport" that most members were unable to obtain a visa despite repeated attempts, which may prevent them from supporting the Moroccan team in this global football event.
The same source indicated that fans wishing to travel had met all the required conditions to obtain a visa, including purchasing tickets for the group stage matches, only to be surprised by the rejection of their applications without receiving the expected approval.
The same source confirmed that only three members managed to obtain a visa, including two individuals holding European passports, while several others continue to wait for a response in the coming hours in hopes of finding a solution to this crisis.
In a related context, a number of Scottish fans, one of Morocco's competitors in Group C, also found themselves facing a similar problem after U.S. authorities canceled their electronic travel authorizations, despite meeting all the required conditions and procedures.
The Scottish fans were surprised by the cancellation of their electronic authorizations after months of preparation for the trip, which included booking match tickets, flight tickets, and hotel accommodations, just shortly before the start of the 2026 World Cup competitions.
This situation has raised significant concerns among the affected fans, especially since the cancellation of the authorizations at this time could lead to substantial financial losses, potentially amounting to thousands of dollars for some fans who had completed all travel arrangements in advance.
