Larguet bids farewell to the Saudi Football Federation.

Moroccan coach Nasser Larguet officially announced his departure from his position as Technical Director of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, coinciding with the end of his four-year contract within the framework of developing Saudi football.

Larguet stated in a farewell message published through his official social media accounts that he leaves his position feeling a "great sense of pride and gratitude" after what he described as a "remarkable" experience within the Saudi Arabian Football Federation.

He added that working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since 2022 has been a great honor for him, noting that the country is making steady progress towards achieving the goals of Vision 2030, and is preparing to write a new chapter in the history of global football by hosting the 2034 World Cup with the participation of 48 teams.

The Moroccan technical official expressed his gratitude to the Saudi leadership and the officials in the sports sector, extending his thanks to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Minister of Sports Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, and President of the Saudi Football Federation Yasser Al-Mashal, in addition to all the staff within the federation, for the support and trust he received throughout his tenure.

Larguet continued that the joint efforts over the past years have resulted in many achievements, explaining that the work included developing youth programs, training coaches, and enhancing the performance of the national teams for both men and women, with the aim of building a sustainable and strong football base.

The Moroccan coach pointed out that the achieved results reflect the extent of the work done, as three Saudi teams succeeded in reaching the World Cup finals in a single season, and the national teams have won 11 titles since 2022, in addition to the under-17 team returning to the World Cup after a 35-year absence.

The speaker confirmed that what has been achieved was the result of collective efforts involving many workers behind the scenes, who contributed to enhancing the status of Saudi football on the international stage, wishing success to his successor in continuing the path of development and construction.

Larguet concluded his message by thanking the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stating that this experience will remain one of the highlights of his professional career and will be firmly etched in his memory.
