The Moroccan national football team held its first training session yesterday, Thursday, at the sports facility of the "Pingree School," which the national team is using as its main camp in New Jersey in preparation for the 2026 World Cup.
This training session, overseen by national coach Mohamed Wahbi, took place in an atmosphere of seriousness, focus, and high morale.
After starting with a warm-up session, the players moved on to familiarize themselves with the ball through a series of technical workshops and group exercises.
The training session also focused on quick ball rotation with one or two touches, accuracy in passing, and improving coordination between the lines, aiming to refine the team's playing mechanisms and gradually increase their readiness level.
The "Atlas Lions" conducted their preparations under excellent conditions, demonstrating strong determination and great resolve as the time approaches for them to enter the global competition.
The first training session took place in front of a number of Moroccan fans residing in the United States, who chose to attend to provide support and encouragement to their national team.
The training session also saw the presence of fans from various nationalities who are supporters of the "Atlas Lions," seizing the opportunity to see the stars of the Moroccan team up close and share in the atmosphere of excitement just days before the World Cup kicks off.
Before starting their journey in the group stage, the Moroccan team will play a final preparatory match next Sunday against their Norwegian counterparts. This match will serve as the final "dress rehearsal" for Achraf Hakimi's teammates before they officially begin their participation in this global football event.
It is worth noting that the Moroccan team will compete in the 2026 World Cup in Group C, which includes the teams from Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti.
