Wahbi from America: We came to make Moroccans happy.
The national coach Mohamed Wahbi expressed his strong desire to achieve positive results during the upcoming edition of the World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.
Wahbi said in media statements after the "Atlas Lions" delegation arrived in New Jersey, USA, where the companions of captain Achraf Hakimi will stay: "We are here to do great things, and we hope to make Moroccans proud of their team."
The speaker added: "We came with a firm intention to show that Morocco today is among the biggest national teams in the world of football."
He concluded: "I know there will be a lot of competition, challenges, and strong teams, but we are ready to give our all to represent our country in the best way possible."
The national team arrived in the United States just hours ago, where they are scheduled to play a final friendly match against Norway next Sunday, a stop that will give the technical staff a chance to assess the readiness of the group and finalize preparations before the official competitions begin.
The "Atlas Lions" will kick off their World Cup journey with a strong match against Brazil, followed by matches against Scotland and Haiti in the group stage, hoping to achieve a remarkable participation and continue the strong presence of Moroccan football on the international stage.
