The truth about promoting Rakraki in Saudi Arabia.
It seems that the management of the Saudi club Al-Ittihad has made its decision regarding the contract with the national coach Walid Regragui to lead "The Brigadier" in the upcoming period, following the departure of the Portuguese coach Sergio Conceição after the end of the last season.
Saudi media reports revealed that Regragui's name is not among the seriously considered options on the table of the club's officials, despite being circulated in recent weeks among a list of coaches nominated for the position.
The same sources clarified that the Al-Ittihad management has not entered into any negotiations with the former coach of the "Atlas Lions," and that his file has not reached the final study stage, as the club is leaning towards other options to take over the technical leadership of the team.
This comes at a time when Al-Ittihad continues to search for a new coach to lead its sports project in the upcoming season, after deciding to part ways with Conceição due to the disappointing results achieved by the team in various competitions.
Reports confirmed that the officials of "The Brigadier" prefer to work away from the spotlight regarding the new coach's file, and that the identity of the next captain will be announced as soon as all procedures related to the contract are completed.
Regragui's name has recently been linked to several Gulf clubs, benefiting from the successes he achieved during his coaching career; however, current data suggests that he is unlikely to take over the coaching of Al-Ittihad in the upcoming phase.
The Saudi club hopes to regain its luster after a difficult season that ended without winning any titles, having exited various local and continental competitions and finishing the Saudi Professional League in fifth place.
