Morocco's rugby competes in Mauritius.
The draw for the 2026 Africa Rugby Sevens Championship placed the Moroccan national men's team in Group C, alongside the teams from Zimbabwe, Kenya, and Burkina Faso; this will take place in the city of Cascavelle in Mauritius on June 20 and 21.
The group that includes the Moroccan team is considered one of the strongest in the tournament, given the caliber of the competing teams and their experience on the continental stage; this suggests strong and exciting matches in the first round.
The Royal Moroccan Rugby Federation confirmed in an official statement that the national team will enter this African event with great ambitions to honor the national flag and achieve positive results that reflect the development of rugby in Morocco in recent years.
The federation also renewed its full support for the national team members and the technical and administrative staff, expressing its wishes for success for the "Atlas Lions" in this continental challenge, hoping for a successful participation and a deep run in the African championship.
