Morocco's national team is ranked seventh in the world.
The Moroccan national team has risen to seventh place in the world in the new monthly ranking of the International Football Federation (FIFA), released today, Wednesday, achieving its best ranking in history just 8 days before entering the competition of the 2026 World Cup.
The Moroccan team is ranked seventh in the world with a score of 1756.94 points, behind France, Spain, Argentina, England, Portugal, and Brazil, thus continuing to lead African and Arab teams in the ranking issued by FIFA.
This ranking is the best in the history of Moroccan football in terms of the FIFA ranking, given the positive results the team has achieved recently.
On the continental level, the Senegalese team is ranked 14th in the world, followed by Nigeria in 25th place, Algeria in 28th, Egypt in 29th, while the Tunisian team is in 46th place, and the Qatari team is in 55th.
This achievement comes as the national team delegation heads today to the United States to participate in the 2026 World Cup, with the ambition to continue the path it marked in the Qatar 2022 World Cup, when it achieved fourth place as the best Arab and African achievement in the history of the competition.
