Tanger Union turns the tables on Wydad and achieves a valuable victory in the league.
The Tangiers Union team defeated their guest, Wydad Athletic Club, with a score of two goals to one, in the match that took place this evening, Wednesday, on the grounds of the Grand Stadium of Tangiers, as part of the twenty-second round of the professional league.
The first half saw mutual attacking attempts from both sides; however, the lack of a final touch and effectiveness in front of the goal prevented either team from scoring, ending the first half of the match in a draw.
With the start of the second half of the match, Wydad Athletic Club succeeded in opening the scoring in the sixty-first minute, thanks to a goal scored by player Mohamed Mofid.
The excitement continued in the following minutes, allowing the Tangiers Union team to equalize in the seventy-fourth minute, with a beautiful header from player Jawad Ghabra that found the back of the net for the red team.
Tangiers Union managed to snatch the winning goal in the 94th minute through Mohamed Al-Aroush, which disrupted the guests' plans and gifted his team three valuable points in the dying moments of the match.
Following this result, Tangiers Union climbed to the tenth position with a total of 26 points, while Wydad Athletic Club's tally remained at 40 points, keeping them in fourth place.
