The Haitian national football team defeated the New Zealand national team 4-0 in a friendly match held yesterday evening (Wednesday morning GMT) as part of their preparations for the World Cup, which will take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The Haitian team, which is in the same group as the Moroccan national team, finished the first half leading with a clean goal scored by Ruben Providence in the 12th minute.
In the second half, the Haitian team scored three goals through Lenny Joseph, Frantzdy Pierrot, and Duke Lacroix in the 51st, 62nd, and 87th minutes.
Haiti is in Group C along with Brazil, Morocco, and Scotland, while New Zealand is in Group G with Belgium, Egypt, and Iran.
