The technical staff of the Jordanian national football team, led by Moroccan coach Jamal Salami, announced today, Tuesday, the final list of players set to compete in the 2026 World Cup.
The list includes 26 players who excelled during the recent Asian Cup and significantly contributed to qualifying for the 2026 World Cup; notably, the dangerous attacking duo of Mousa Al-Tamari and Ali Alwan, the defensive rock and captain of the backline Yazan Al-Arab, and Nizar Al-Rashdan, the safety valve of the midfield, along with goalkeeper Yazeed Abu Layla.
This squad, which includes several stars who have created the Jordanian football dream, combines the elements of experience and football expertise with the renewed energy of young football talents.
On the other hand, the technical staff excluded the duo of midfielder Youssef Qashi and left-back Mohammed Abu Ghosh (from the Irbid Al-Hussein team, the winner of the Jordanian league) after narrowing down the initial list.
This list includes Yazeed Abu Layla, Abdullah Al-Fakhouri, Nour Bani Atieh, Abdullah Naseeb, Saad Al-Rousan, Yazan Al-Arab, Salim Obeid, Mohammed Abu Al-Nadi, Hussam Abu Dhahab, Ihsan Haddad, Anas Badawi, Mohannad Abu Taha, Mohammed Abu Hashish, Nour Al-Rawabdeh, Nizar Al-Rashdan, Ibrahim Saada, Rjaei Ayed, Amer Jamous, Mohammed Al-Dawood, Mahmoud Mardhi, Awda Al-Fakhouri, Mousa Al-Tamari, Mohammed Abu Zreik, Ali Azayza, Ibrahim Sabra, and Ali Alwan.
The Jordanian national team delegation arrived today, Tuesday, in San Diego, USA, to conduct a training camp that will last until June 10 of this month, which will include the final friendly match for the team against the Colombian national team early on Monday, June 8, at Snapdragon Stadium.
The Jordanian team will begin its participation in the 2026 World Cup finals with a match against Austria on Wednesday, June 17, in San Francisco, followed by a match against Algeria on Tuesday, June 23, in the same city, and will conclude the group stage with a match against Argentina on the morning of Sunday, June 28, in Dallas.
