Tanzania meets Uganda and Rwanda in Morocco.

The Tanzanian Football Federation reported on its official Facebook page that the Tanzanian national team will play two international friendly matches in Morocco against the national teams of Uganda and Rwanda on June 5 and 9 in Marrakech.

These friendly matches will allow Tanzania to enhance the cohesion among its national team players and improve tactical techniques in preparation for upcoming international competitions, especially the Africa Cup of Nations 2027, which will be co-hosted by the country along with Kenya and Uganda.

The "Taifa Stars" (Stars of the Nation) will face their Ugandan counterparts in their first friendly match, before taking on the Rwandan team four days later. The two matches will serve as a test for coach Miguel Gamondi, who is looking to improve his playing strategy and assess his options ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations 2027.

Miguel Gamondi was already in Morocco in recent weeks with the "Serengeti Boys," Tanzania's under-17 national team, which performed excellently by qualifying for the final of the under-17 Africa Cup of Nations. The Argentine coach took advantage of this presence to oversee the preparations for the senior national team's camp.

The squad called up for this training camp includes a mix of experienced players, local league players, and international players playing abroad. The main clubs in the Tanzanian Premier League form the backbone of the national team, alongside several players competing in Europe and Asia.

The Confederation of African Football recently announced the dates for the opening and final matches of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations; the opening match will take place on Saturday, June 19, while the final match will be held on Saturday, July 17. The host countries for these matches will be announced later.
