Moroccan clubs under a ban on new signings in FIFA's lists.
The latest data from the International Football Federation (FIFA), published through the player registration ban platform, shows that several Moroccan clubs are on the list of teams subject to transfer bans during the year 2026, due to disputes or pending cases that led to the imposition of these sanctions according to FIFA regulations.
The list includes fourteen decisions concerning various Moroccan clubs, including RS Berkane, Wydad Casablanca, Olympique Safi, Olympique Khouribga, Hassania Agadir, Moghreb Tétouan, Chabab Ben Guerir, and Ittihad Sidi Mohamed Ben Ali.
The published data indicates that some clubs have received more than one transfer ban in close timeframes, reflecting the ongoing nature of several cases presented to the relevant bodies of the international federation.
Wydad Casablanca's name appeared on the list on May 11 and 15, while RS Berkane was mentioned in the latest update published on May 29.
The list also included Olympique Safi on May 13, Olympique Khouribga on May 19, and Hassania Agadir on multiple occasions during November 2025 and May 2026, along with Moghreb Tétouan, which was mentioned several times due to decisions issued on different dates.
It is worth noting that the inclusion of any club on the transfer ban list does not necessarily mean the continuation of the penalty for a long period; FIFA regulations allow for the lifting of the ban immediately after resolving the dispute or implementing the decision issued in the relevant case. Additionally, several clubs succeed in lifting the ban shortly after it is imposed, following financial or legal agreements with the complaining parties.
These data remain an indicator of the scale of financial and legal challenges facing some national clubs, especially with the summer transfer period approaching, as teams seek to resolve their pending issues to ensure the legal eligibility of new players and avoid any obstacles that may affect their preparations for the upcoming sports season.
