Scotland defeats Curacao in Glasgow.
The Scottish national football team achieved a significant victory over their counterpart from Curacao with a score of 4-1 in a friendly match held as part of both teams' preparations for the 2026 World Cup, at Hampden Park in the Scottish capital, Glasgow.
The match had a surprising start as Tahith Chong opened the scoring for Curacao in the 17th minute, before the visitors' task became more difficult following the red card shown to Jurgen Locadia in the 38th minute.
The Scottish team took advantage of the numerical disadvantage, equalizing through Findlay Curtis before the end of the first half.
In the second half, the home team asserted their dominance, with Lawrence Shankland scoring two consecutive goals in the 59th and 64th minutes, before Ryan Christie capped off the quartet with a penalty in the 81st minute.
The draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup placed the Moroccan national team in Group C, which also includes the teams from Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti.
