The same source added that Ezzalzouli's impressive performance with the Moroccan national team in the upcoming World Cup could increase his market value, prompting Newcastle to act early before competition intensifies.

These developments come at a time when Real Betis needs to sell one of its key stars before June 30 to improve its financial situation, which could facilitate the Moroccan player's departure this summer, despite his previous desire to continue his career in La Liga.

On the other hand, Barcelona could benefit financially from the potential deal, as they retain 20 percent of Ezzalzouli's sale value, meaning they could receive at least 10 million euros, an amount that could help the Catalan club finance the signing of Englishman Anthony Gordon, the star of Newcastle United, whose value is reported to exceed 70 million euros.
