Spanish sports media praised the quality of the 26 players selected to represent Morocco in the 2026 World Cup, considering that the "Atlas Lions" have a squad characterized by high competitiveness and declared ambitions.

The Iberian press noted that the Moroccan national team, which combines the presence of experienced players active at the highest levels with the emergence of a promising new generation, is entering this global event with a cohesive and disciplined team that is difficult to match.

The newspaper "Sport" highlighted the process of generational renewal within the Moroccan national team, describing this list as an "ideal showcase" for young talents with great potential.

For its part, the newspaper "El Imparcial" considered that this surge of talent confirms the transformation that Moroccan football is undergoing, led by international names such as Achraf Hakimi and Brahim Diaz, who are capable of competing with the world's top teams.

The newspaper "Marca" also noted the development of the Moroccan national team, pointing out that while the 2022 World Cup revealed a disciplined team that is hard to penetrate, the current squad also possesses greater attacking strength across various lines.

Meanwhile, the newspaper "AS" stated that Morocco is entering this World Cup with the ambition of reaching a new stage under the leadership of Mohamed Wahbi, clarifying that the goal is no longer limited to repeating the semi-final achievement of the 2022 Qatar World Cup; rather, it has become to win the first global title for the kingdom and the African continent.

In the same context, the newspaper "ABC" highlighted the outstanding performance of Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, describing him as one of the most influential players for Real Betis this season, following the prominent role he played in the Andalusian club's journey under coach Manuel Pellegrini.

In this regard, the radio station "Onda Cero" considered that Morocco enters the 2026 World Cup finals with increased maturity, harmony, and confidence, after four years since the epic of Qatar, especially following its recent victory in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations; which makes it, according to the radio, one of the top contenders to play advanced roles on the global stage.
