The king congratulates the climber Nawal Safnudla.
King Mohammed VI sent a congratulatory message to the world climber Nawal Safnada following the significant sports achievement she recorded by climbing the peaks of Everest and Lhotse, which are adjacent to each other.
The king's message stated: “We learned with great pride of the significant sports achievement you recorded by climbing the peaks of Everest and Lhotse, in a first for a Moroccan woman by ascending these two global peaks at once.”
The king said: “We congratulate you on this global achievement, and for raising the Moroccan flag high in the heights, which, as much as it is a culmination of your tireless efforts and strong determination, it also confirms the competence and ability of Moroccan women to meet challenges in various fields, and reflects the ambition and will of Moroccan youth to achieve more accomplishments in continental and international sports competitions.”
He added: “We also congratulate you on this honorable sports brilliance, which adds to the achievements you have previously accomplished by climbing the highest mountain peaks in the world, in Europe, America, and Asia; this embodies the will, patience, and determination you possess.”
The king continued: “As we pray to God Almighty for your continued success and guidance, and for more excellence and contribution in your sports journey, we affirm our deep affection and ongoing satisfaction.”
