All eyes are on the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat this Sunday evening at 20:00, where the Royal Army Club hosts South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns in the second leg of the African Champions League final, a match eagerly awaited by football fans across the African continent.

The "soldiers," after losing narrowly 1-0 in the first leg, are hopeful of leveraging the home advantage and the support of their fans to defeat Sundowns and secure a title that has eluded the club for over 40 years. The army team was the first Moroccan team to win this continental championship back in 1985.

In the first leg, the Royal Army Club displayed a respectable performance, especially in terms of attack, as they managed to create numerous chances and came close to scoring against their opponent on several occasions. However, a lack of luck at times and haste at others prevented them from achieving their goal.

The capital team hopes to turn the tables on their South African rival, especially since their squad is filled with stars who are well-versed in the intricacies of continental competitions, such as goalkeeper Ahmed Reda Tagnaouti, captain Mohamed Rabi Hrimat, as well as Youssef El Fahli and other players whom the military fans trust to achieve the title and bring joy to various neighborhoods in the capital.

Somali referee Omar Qartan will officiate the second leg of the continental final, assisted by Djiboutian Ahmed Liban Abdul Razak and Kenyan Stefan Onyango; while Ghanaian Daniel Laria will be in the VAR room, assisted by Estonian Fina Leticia and Niger's Ali Sado Berhamo.
