A royal ceremony celebrating the elite of global golf.
Prince Moulay Rachid chaired, on Friday at the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Rabat, a dinner hosted by King Mohammed VI, on the occasion of the 50th edition of the Hassan II Golf Trophy and the 29th edition of the Lalla Meryem Cup, organized under the high patronage of His Majesty the King.
Upon his arrival, Prince Moulay Rachid, President of the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation and the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association, reviewed a formation of auxiliary forces that saluted him, before greeting His Highness, the Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Mohamed Saad Berrada, the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatima Zahra Amour, and the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance, in charge of the budget, Fouzi Lekjaa.
Also coming to greet the prince were the President of the Moroccan National Olympic Committee, Faisal Al-Araichi, the Wali of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, the Governor of Rabat, Mohamed El Yaacoubi, the President of the Regional Council, Rachid Al-Abdi, the President of the Municipal Council, Fatiha Al-Moudani, and the President of the Souissi District Council, Adel Al-Atrassi.
Additionally, the following gentlemen came to greet Prince Moulay Rachid: Mustafa El Zein, Vice President of the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation and Deputy President of the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association, Hassan Mansouri, Vice President of the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation and Deputy President of the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association, Abdel Rahman Bouftas, President of the Royal Golf Club Dar Es Salam and member of the Board of Directors of the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association, Azeddine Benmoussa, Advisor to the President of the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association, Patrice Clerc, Advisor to the President of the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association, Ali Bensouda, General Treasurer of the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation and the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association, Michel Bizanceni, General Coordinator of the Hassan II Golf Trophy and Lalla Meryem Cup, Mohamed Iraqi, General Director of the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation and Executive Director of the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association, and Mohamed Noufal Bensouda, Financial Director of the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation and the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association.
The organization of the 50th edition of the Hassan II Golf Trophy and the 29th edition of the Lalla Meryem Cup carries a strong symbolic significance. This comes within the framework of the sports dynamism that Morocco is witnessing, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him.
These two events, which allow for the reception of the elite of global golf for men and women every year, contribute to enhancing the international visibility of the capital of the Kingdom, thereby cementing the enlightened royal vision aimed at making Rabat the city of lights, the Moroccan capital of culture.
