Rahimi wins the "President of the UAE Cup."
Moroccan international Sofiane Rahimi led Al Ain to win the UAE President's Cup title after a significant victory over Al Jazira with a score of 4-1 in the final match held today, Friday.
Al Jazira was the first to score through French player Nabil Fekir in the 11th minute, before Rahimi shone and turned the tide of the match by scoring two consecutive goals in the 15th and 20th minutes, giving his team the lead.
Al Ain continued to dominate the match, with Guinean player Abdou Karim Traore adding the third goal in the 44th minute, before Eric Jurgens capped off the quartet in stoppage time of the second half.
The match also saw the red card of Al Jazira player Khalifa Al Hamadi after receiving a second yellow card in the final minutes.
This title is the eighth in Al Ain's history and their first since 2018, while Sofiane Rahimi continued to confirm his outstanding level this season, playing a starring role in the final by scoring two crucial goals that led his team to the podium.
