Ronaldo leads Al Nassr to win the title.
The Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo led his team Al Nassr to win the Saudi Pro League title after defeating his guest Damak 4-1 in the 34th and final round on Thursday.
Al Nassr secured its first league title since 2019, finishing two points ahead of the runner-up Al Hilal.
For Ronaldo, this title means much more than just another trophy added to his collection filled with cups from major clubs like Real Madrid, Manchester United, and even the Portuguese national team. Since his arrival in Saudi Arabia, the Al Nassr captain has faced continuous criticism for failing to lead his team to major titles, especially the domestic league.
The pressure on Ronaldo and Al Nassr increased just days ago, after the club suffered a painful blow by losing the AFC Champions League final 0-1 to Gamba Osaka of Japan, making the league title win carry a special significance for the Portuguese star.
