The Arab table tennis is competing in Morocco.
The Arab Table Tennis Federation, headed by Qatari Khalil bin Ahmed Al-Mahandi, announced the official calendar for Arab championships extending until 2028, with Morocco hosting the Arab Clubs Championship during the 2028 edition.
The Arab Federation confirmed, in an official circular addressed to member federations, that the Kingdom will be a prominent Arab stop on the table tennis agenda in the coming years, with the Moroccan city hosting the championship to be determined later.
Morocco's hosting of this event falls within the Arab Federation's approach to expand the organization of competitions among member countries and to provide national federations with the opportunity to gain more organizational and technical experience, which serves the development of the sport in the Arab world.
It was also decided to hold the Arab Clubs Championship in 2026 in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, while Tunisia will host the 2027 edition in Tunis, and Cairo will also host the Arab National Teams Championship in 2027.
Mohamed Abdullah Saleh, the Secretary-General of the Arab Table Tennis Federation, indicated that the early announcement of the timeline aims to give federations and clubs enough time for administrative and technical preparation in anticipation of upcoming events.
The anticipated Arab championship in Morocco is expected to be an opportunity to enhance the visibility of national table tennis and showcase the Kingdom's organizational capabilities in hosting Arab and continental sports events.
