After winning the League Cup in March, Manchester City added the FA Cup title on Sunday by defeating Chelsea 1-0 in the final at Wembley, with hopes of completing the treble as they resume the final stretch battle with Arsenal for the league leadership.

With a back-heel goal reminiscent of Algerian Rabah Madjer with his Porto team in the 1987 Champions League final against Bayern Munich (2-1), Ghanaian Antoine Semenyo gifted his team City the eighth title in its history, while Chelsea remained without any domestic title for the eighth consecutive year, specifically since winning the cup in 2018.

Coach Pep Guardiola's team had already won the League Cup this season by defeating Arsenal in the final, the team they are also competing with for the Premier League title, where City is in second place, two points behind the "Gunners" with two matches remaining in the season.

Despite the fatigue, City managed to overcome Chelsea, who failed to salvage a troubled season and secure a continental participation spot by winning the title, as they sit in ninth place in the Premier League.
