Ajman Club renews contract with Azaro.
The Ajman Club in the UAE announced the renewal of its Moroccan striker Walid Azaro's contract for an additional two years, allowing him to continue wearing the team's jersey until the summer of 2028, in a move that confirms the club's commitment to one of its most prominent players in recent years.
Azaro, who is 30 years old, continues to make a strong presence with "the Orange," having become one of the most notable foreign names in the club's history since joining in January 2022 on a free transfer from Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia.
The Moroccan striker has played 114 matches in the UAE Pro League for Ajman, during which he scored 47 goals, making him the all-time top scorer for Moroccan players in the competition, in addition to his significant contribution to the team's results in recent seasons.
Mohammed Hussein, the manager of Ajman, confirmed that the renewal negotiations with Azaro took place in a positive atmosphere, noting that the desire of both parties to continue their collaboration facilitated reaching a quick agreement.
Mohammed Hussein explained in statements to "Emirates Today" that Azaro preferred stability within Ajman despite interest from other clubs in his services, considering the technical and human environment he found within the club.
He added that the Moroccan international is one of the key pillars the team relies on for the upcoming season, due to his extensive experience and offensive effectiveness, along with his positive impact within the group.
