The army is completing preparations for the league final.
The Royal Army team has completed its preparations at its training center, in anticipation of facing Mamelodi Sundowns next Sunday, in the first leg of the CAF Champions League final.
The club's management decided to hold a collective dinner last Thursday evening for the team delegation consisting of 50 members, led by the appointed president General Bouabker Ayoub, before heading to Johannesburg via a direct flight.
The "military" group is expected to hold its first training session today, Friday, before conducting the official session tomorrow, Saturday, on the pitch of Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, which will host the match, with the team delegation returning directly to Rabat after the game, in preparation for the return leg.
Informed sources told "Hesport" that the atmosphere within the "military" group is positive, given the strong determination shown by the players to return with a positive result before the return match.
Regarding the players' readiness, the same sources confirmed that all members are ready for the match except for Valo Mendy, whose medical tests indicated a need for more rest, which will prevent him from participating in the first leg, but he is expected to be ready for the return match.
It is worth noting that the first leg will take place next Sunday at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, starting at 3 PM Moroccan time, while the return match will be held at Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat on the following Saturday evening.
