Zalzouli is approaching the English Premier League.
The Moroccan international Abdessamad Ezzalzouli is set to leave his club Real Betis in the upcoming summer transfer window, amid increasing interest in his services from Premier League clubs, while he is gradually distancing himself from a return to FC Barcelona, according to Spanish media reports.
The Spanish newspaper "SPORT" confirmed that Newcastle United and Aston Villa have shown interest in signing the Real Betis winger during the upcoming summer transfer window, as Newcastle sent a representative to Seville to inquire about the player's situation, in anticipation of the potential departure of their player Anthony Gordon.
The same newspaper clarified that despite Ezzalzouli's name being linked to his former club Barcelona, the Catalan team does not currently prioritize the Moroccan player, even though they retain 20 percent of the player's rights, as the sports management is preoccupied with other matters.
"SPORT" added that Barcelona would only consider re-signing the player if the deal were to be made under suitable financial conditions, knowing that Real Betis is counting on Ezzalzouli's participation with the Moroccan national team in the upcoming World Cup to increase his market value before deciding on his future under better financial terms.
The Andalusian club aims to receive around 40 million euros for selling Ezzalzouli's contract, after a season in which the player scored 14 goals and contributed to 13 assists.
It is worth noting that Ezzalzouli changed his agent recently, after joining Alejandro Camano's agency, which has a good relationship with Betis management, in a move that could pave the way for his transfer to the Premier League in the upcoming transfer window.
