"Betis" postpones the conclusion of the Amrabat deal.
Chilean coach Manuel Pellegrini praised the levels that Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat is showing with Real Betis, confirming that the player has made a significant contribution to the team this season.
Pellegrini explained in a press conference that the club's management will postpone the decision regarding Amrabat's future until the end of the season, amid ongoing potential negotiations with Fenerbahçe, which holds the player's contract until 2028.
The Chilean coach stated that Amrabat has contributed a lot to the team in the defensive midfield position, noting that Betis was lacking a player specialized in this role after the departure of Guido Rodríguez and Jony Cardoso.
He added, "We will wait until the end of the season to discuss potential changes, but there is no doubt that Sofyan has provided us with a significant addition in a very important position within the team."
Amrabat has participated in 21 official matches with Real Betis this season, during which he scored one goal, despite the long absence he suffered due to a serious ankle injury, in addition to his participation in the recent Africa Cup of Nations.
The Moroccan international is one of the key options that Pellegrini relies on whenever he is physically fit, which enhances the possibility of his continued adventure with the Andalusian club in the upcoming season.
