Tennis player Maysoum wins in Rabat.
The international junior tennis tournament in Rabat, held from May 4 to 10 at the Stade Marocain, concluded after a week of matches that brought together several male and female players participating in the international junior competitions.
A statement from the Royal Moroccan Tennis Federation mentioned that the men's singles draw saw the outstanding performance of Moroccan player Ali Meissoum, who won the title after a remarkable journey and great control throughout the tournament.
Meissoum, the top seed of the tournament, won the final against Egyptian Omar Kandil with a score of 6-3 and 6-2.
This achievement comes just a few months after reaching the final of the Casablanca tournament held at the Olympic Club in February, thus confirming his good level on the international junior stage.
In the girls' doubles competition, the Moroccan duo of Lina Bza and Yasmin Dweib stood out by reaching the final, before losing to the duo of Eva Kalyadina and Emilia Lepidivait with a score of 7-6 and 6-4.
As for the girls' singles title, it went to Russian Varvara Vinogradova after she won the final against Elizaveta Nalisnik with a score of 7-5 and 6-3.
In the men's doubles competition, the duo of Japanese Yuto Hisano and Canadian Philip Malis won the title after defeating the duo of David Aguiar Johansson and Ryan Zray with a score of 6-4 and 7-5.
