The Royal Army returns from Agadir with three valuable points in the "championship race."
The Royal Army team achieved an exciting victory against its host, Hassania Agadir, with a score of three goals to two, in the match that took place this evening, Sunday, at the Adrar Stadium, as part of the 20th round of the professional league competition.
The military team entered the match strongly, with Jalal al-Din al-Khafif opening the scoring early in the seventh minute, giving the visitors the lead from the start.
However, the joy of the army did not last long, as the Mauritanian Mohamed Nouh brought the match back to square one by scoring an own goal in the ninth minute, equalizing for Hassania Agadir.
Attempts continued from both sides during the first half, before Jalal al-Din al-Khafif returned to find the net again in the 39th minute, scoring the second goal for the military team and his second personal goal in the match.
The hosts quickly responded, as the Portuguese Oclodys Cabral managed to level the score for Hassania in the 42nd minute, ending the first half with a score of two goals each.
During the second half, the coaches of both teams tried to find the winning goal through a series of substitutions, but offensive effectiveness was lacking in most attempts, in a half characterized by caution and balance.
In stoppage time, specifically in the 91st minute, the Royal Army was awarded a penalty kick, which the captain Mohamed Rabi Harimat successfully converted into a decisive goal, giving his team three valuable points.
With this victory, the Royal Army raised its tally to 40 points in second place, continuing to chase the leader, Maghreb Fes, who has 41 points and had won earlier today against Ittihad Tawraka with a score of one goal to none.
On the other hand, Hassania Agadir's tally remained at 20 points in twelfth place.
