A guide for supporters of the national team in America.
The Moroccan Embassy in Washington has issued a special guide for Moroccan fans wishing to travel to the United States to support the Moroccan national football team during the 2026 World Cup.
The guide prepared by the Moroccan embassy in Washington includes a set of instructions and guidelines related to travel, accommodation, and transportation within the United States, in addition to information regarding the American visa, tickets, health insurance, payment methods, and consular assistance services designated for Moroccan fans.
The embassy confirmed that Moroccan fans are first required to purchase match tickets through the FIFA platform to become eligible for the "FIFA Pass" system, which allows for expedited appointment dates for American visa applications at the U.S. Consulate General in Casablanca, noting that this system does not constitute a visa and does not guarantee automatic approval.
The guide clarified that Moroccan fans wishing to attend World Cup matches must apply for a B1/B2 visa, complete the DS-160 form, and pay the visa fees before scheduling an interview appointment at the American consulate.
The guide also addressed direct and indirect flights between Morocco and the United States, highlighting that Royal Air Maroc offers direct flights from Casablanca to New York, Washington, and Miami, and mentioning the launch of a new direct route between Casablanca and Los Angeles in June 2026, in addition to direct flights provided by United Airlines and Delta Airlines from Marrakech to the United States.
The Moroccan embassy also emphasized the importance of early hotel bookings and having health insurance that covers the entire duration of stay, especially in light of rising medical costs and health services in the United States.
The guide revealed the stadiums that will host the Moroccan national team's matches in the group stage, where the "Atlas Lions" will face Brazil on June 13 at MetLife Stadium, followed by a match against Scotland on June 19 at Gillette Stadium, and then against Haiti on June 24 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
