The Casablanca derby without fans by official decision.
The appeals committee of the National Professional Football League endorsed today, Friday, the decisions of the central disciplinary committee regarding the events that accompanied the match between the Royal Army and Raja Casablanca, which took place at the Moulay Abdellah Complex in Rabat, and which witnessed acts of violence that caused material damage inside the stadium.
The disciplinary decisions issued in this case impose a fine of 200,000 dirhams on both the Royal Army and Raja Casablanca, while holding the clubs responsible for the costs of repairing the damage caused to the facilities of the complex, following the behaviors exhibited by some fans during the match.
The penalties also include Raja Casablanca playing three matches without fans, compared to five matches without fans for the Royal Army, in addition to prohibiting the "Rabat" team from playing the remaining matches of the season on the grounds of the Moulay Abdellah Stadium, except for continental matches.
The decision of the appeals committee is expected to have a direct impact on the derby match scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, which will officially take place without fans, after the penalties imposed on both teams by the central disciplinary committee were confirmed.
