The Malagasy federation also highlighted that this match is part of the preparatory program for both teams, in preparation for the upcoming international competitions, with the World Cup at the forefront.

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation had announced that the national team will face the Norwegian national football team on June 7, 2026, at the "Sports Illustrated" Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey, USA.

The match will kick off at 8 PM Moroccan time, in a friendly test through which the national coach aims to assess the readiness of the national players and give them the opportunity to acclimatize to the climatic and time conditions specific to the American continent before entering the World Cup.
