Al-Raja Al-Bidawi defeats Maghreb Fes with a brace and temporarily tops the professional league.
The Raja Club Athletic team succeeded in returning with a valuable victory from the heart of Fes, after defeating its host, the Fes Sports Club, with two goals to none, in the match that brought them together this Wednesday evening at the sports complex in Fes, as part of the nineteenth round of the professional league.
The "green" team finished the first half of the match leading with a single goal scored by Nigerian striker Matthias Oyiyosi in the 19th minute.
This half witnessed great intensity and a strong struggle between the two sides in the midfield, with a clear desire from both sides to impose control.
Raja continued its strong performance in the second half, where it managed to extend its lead with a second goal in the 53rd minute after a corner taken by Saber Bougrine, which settled in front of Ayoub Al-Amroud, who put it into the net, taking advantage of a confusion in the Fes defense.
After conceding the second goal, Fes tried in every way to return to the match and reduce the deficit, as they were awarded a penalty in the 87th minute, but the referee canceled it after reviewing the video technology (VAR), ending the match with the guests winning by two goals to none.
Following this away victory, Raja Club Athletic temporarily rose to the top of the professional league with a total of thirty-nine points, while Fes's tally remained at thirty-eight points, thus dropping to second place in the standings.
