"Crazy Boys" protest in Marrakech.
The "Crazy Boys" faction, supporting the Kawkab Marrakech club, announced a boycott of the team's match against Olympic Dcheira scheduled for this evening, Monday, at 9 PM at the Grand Marrakech Stadium, as part of the 18th round of the professional league. This decision comes in light of the events that followed the last match against Nahda Berkan at their home ground, which included arrests of several Marrakech fans.
The faction explained in a statement that this decision stems from a strong conviction and a high sense of responsibility, despite recognizing the team's need for support from its fans during this sensitive phase. It emphasized that prioritizing the current circumstances necessitates responding accordingly.
The "Crazy Boys" confirmed that the boycott aims to avoid anything that could affect the stability of the team, while ensuring a suitable atmosphere that helps it compete in the best conditions. They stressed that the interests of Kawkab Marrakech remain above all else.
In this context, the faction called for a transparent and impartial investigation to determine responsibilities and to pursue anyone found to be involved in threatening the safety of the fans, demanding the release of the detainees whom they described as "the wronged."
The statement concluded by reaffirming their continued support for the team through various means, while renewing their commitment to defending the rights of the fans, under the slogans "Freedom for the fans" and "Long live Kawkab Sports Marrakech."
